HellFix

A 3-person Hell-themed Parkour game. I composed the music and programmed the Audio Visualization.

Audio Visualization

Though my only task was to make the music, I added the Visualization because it was within the scope of the project.

Hell-Fire

The audio triggers the spark particles and some sections of the track (mostly the bass) drives the intensity of the lights 

Darkness

To mix things up, the last third of the track becomes more subdued, closer to ambient music, which in turn darkens the environment.

Set-Up

To bring this visualization to life, I prepared a track, baked the audio with the Synesthesia plug-in and then controlled events through Blueprints.

Music

Considering it is a parkour game with some hellish theming, I decided to base the track on a hip-hop beat using a drum set layered with an industrial kit. I then added a reverberating bass line and some gritty synths. I also used very midi-sounding electric guitars and bass to stay in line with the PS1 style graphics.

Conclusion

This project was very enjoyable and rewarding to work on. It is a great introduction to the world of audio visualization.
